Google Troubleshooting

I cannot access Google Forms - it tells me my account doesn't have access / permission or just won't let me see the form.

This is particularly relevant to online Home Study ...

Use the slideshow below to help. To open it in a new window Click Here.

Accessing Google Form Home Study

The 'View' link on my results email doesn't work - it says I need permission to see my feedback

  1. Open an incognito browser

  2. Log in to RMUnify (use your full email address) and then follow the link to your gmail

  3. Find the message with your results and click on View from there.

If this does not work please contact Mr Smy with a screen shot.

My classes don't appear, or I get a "You need to Request Access" message.

This is almost always because you are logged in to a google account that is not your school account. To check this...

Look for the round icon in the top right hand corner. It will either have an initial, or a little picture you have set for yourself.

This is an example (if a little fuzzy) of an initial

This is an example of a picture.

If you hover your mouse over it, it will tell you which account you are logged into.

If the email says @sbllearning.org.uk and you still cannot see your work or the relevant google classroom, please email your teacher.

If the email address is @gmail.com, or anything else, go on to the next step

Switching accounts

Rather than hover, click on the same round icon. You will get a box that may look a little like this.

You want to click on "Add another Account" Choose this and then log in with your @sbllearning.org.uk email. It will probably take you to RMUNify to complete the login.

Chromebook users

If you use a chromebook, then create a whole new user on the device, signing in with your sbllearning details. Logging in to this account on your device will then automatically make sure you are logged in to school systems and will make everything work efficiently.

Android Users

If you are trying to set up google apps on an android phone or tablet, there may be additional security settings to go through.

I've done a step by step guide for google drive, but it will be similar for other google apps. Once done once the other apps will already be logged in. The guide can be found HERE.
